It's your annual Frost Shop vendor fee — $20 per season, renewed each year. It covers onboarding (secure e-signing, account setup) and gives you everything for the season: your own searchable microsite on frostshopmarketplace.com (built to show up in Google and AI search, and one link you can use everywhere you sell), your listing in the live marketplace and booth map, online booking, confirmation and reminder emails, a weekly snapshot of your page views, marketing tools, and an optional menu/order page customers can browse. Food and beverage vendors also get us coordinating their County and State compliance. It's how we keep building a marketplace that actually drives customers to you.
No — a microsite works alongside your website, not against it. Think of it like a Google Business Profile or a Yelp listing: another trusted place customers and AI assistants can find you, and it links straight to your own site. Your website is your deep home base; your Frost Shop microsite is a fast page built to show up when someone Googles or asks ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini for what you offer near Mariposa or Yosemite — and to get recommended by our concierge, Frosty. It won't compete with your site for rankings, because it's a distinct promo page that points back to you rather than a copy of your site. More quality places linking to and mentioning your business makes your overall presence stronger, not weaker. Best practice: let the microsite highlight and link to your website instead of duplicating it word-for-word.
Yes. Vendors and performers get a microsite free with their season. If you run a local business but aren't selling on the Lot, you can still get your own — start free, see how it performs, and keep it for a small monthly subscription. Claim yours on the Free Microsites page.
It actually saves you and us money. Our card processor charges us a percentage plus 30 cents every single time we run your card — so if we refunded your $50 the day after each booking and then re-collected it the next time you booked, those fees would add up fast for spontaneous or repeat vendors. Instead, we collect one $50 deposit and simply hold it while you're active. If 30 days pass with no new booking, we return it automatically (season-pass holders get theirs back after the Official Season closes). Need your deposit back sooner? Just ask — we'll refund it early one time, on us. After that, if you book again and then request an early refund, we'll still do it, but we'll deduct the card-processing fee (about 2.9% plus 30 cents) from that refund, since we're charged that fee each time we run your card.
The marketplace is open-air and at ground level. For specific accessibility questions, call or text (209) 200-4140 and we'll help you plan your visit.
