Build something real with us in Mariposa
Most sponsorship pitches are some version of give us money and we'll put your logo on a banner. This isn't that.
Frost Shop Marketplace exists to lift up local Mariposa businesses, makers, farmers, and families — to turn a bare lot on Highway 140 into the place the community actually gathers. We're grateful for every partner who helps, so we start every sponsorship with a question most people never get asked.
🤝
we start with a question
How can we support you?
What would actually make this worth it for your business or your mission? We'll build the partnership around your answer — not a fixed menu. You help us build Frost Shop, and we go to work helping you, too.
📣 Real local visibility🎤 A stage for your own event🙌 A day of team service
Built for both local Mariposa businesses and regional & larger sponsors who want to help pioneer the model.
the ground we stand on
Built on Mariposa's generosity
Frost Shop sits on valuable land along Highway 140 — and it exists because two local landowners chose to make it possible. They lease their property to us on terms we can actually afford, not because it's the most profitable thing they could do with that ground, but because they believe in what it does for Mariposa.
That generosity is, quite literally, what this is built on. Before a single sponsor signs on, local people had already bet on this town. Every partner who joins is standing alongside them.
more than a market
An economic-development model that lifts the whole community
Frost Shop is a rural economic-development strategy in the shape of a marketplace — designed to elevate the community in mind, body, and spirit: entrepreneurs, education, and a welcoming place for County agencies and nonprofits to reach people (mind); food access, groceries, and a safe place to gather (body); belonging, dignity, and somewhere to run into each other (spirit).
And this isn't a someday promise — we've already done it, and how we did it is the whole point. Even before the build-out is finished, Frost Shop has hosted three community events, and the community itself powered every one. Mariposans donated the food, the clothing, and the supplies; Frost Shop was the gathering place that brought it together, and an extraordinary team of volunteers made it run. Across those events we've:
- helped families across Mariposa County with groceries and essentials,
- raised hundreds of coats for our annual One Warm Coat drive and distributed every last one, and
- given clothing, bikes, furniture, and supplies to neighbors who needed them.
And the part we're proudest of: there was so much generosity that we ended up with abundance to spare — so we passed it on to other local charities to serve their communities too. That's the multiplier a place like this creates. A sponsor here isn't funding a handout — they're backing the hub that turns a whole town's generosity into more than the sum of its parts.
the bigger picture
A working model for rural America
Rural towns across America are losing their downtowns — storefronts go dark, the gathering places disappear. Frost Shop is a different model, and it works: underused land made viable by local landowners, local makers, community ownership, light and phased infrastructure, and a simple platform to run it. It's replicable, and it's being built deliberately so other rural towns can copy it.
The technology that runs Frost Shop is being built as CivicHub360, a platform designed so any rural community can stand up its own marketplace. Mariposa is the first. So when you sponsor Frost Shop, you're not just funding one market — you're seed-funding a model for rural revitalization, and you get to be one of the founders who proved it could be done.
marquee naming opportunity
The Stage & Theatre
A permanent 25 ft × 15 ft outdoor high-resolution LED screen at the heart of Frost Shop — it turns a market into a venue. Exhibit local art. Screen films under the stars. Light up live plays and concerts with a stunning backdrop. Gather the whole town to watch the World Series on the really big screen.
Naming rights available — “The [Your Name] Stage & Theatre.”
🎬 Your brand on the big screen
Before every movie night and event, the screen runs a pre-show. Any sponsor who gives $2,500 or more is included — your logo and a short film about your company or cause, playing to the whole crowd, all season long. (We'll even help you make the film.)
