Hidden in Yosemite National Park's peaceful northwest corner, Hetch Hetchy Valley is a treasure worth visiting in all seasons. Located at 3,900 feet, Hetch Hetchy boasts one of the longest hiking seasons in the park and is an ideal place for thundering spring waterfalls and wildflower displays. The Hetch Hetchy Road is open from 8 am - 5 pm.

Welcome to Yosemite National Park! Hidden in Yosemite National Park’s peaceful northwest corner, Hetch Hetchy Valley is a treasure worth visiting in all seasons. Visitors can pay the park entrance fee, show their parks pass, or purchase a pass as they enter the park. Park brochures may be available. Entrance stations at Yosemite do not accept cash. Learn more about entrance fees and passes. Vehicles and/or trailers over 25 feet long and 8 feet wide are not permitted on the narrow, winding Hetch Hetchy Road. Operating Hours and Seasons Unlike other areas of Yosemite, the road to Hetch Hetchy is open only during daylight hours, from sunrise to sunset. There is no access to Hetch Hetchy trailheads when the road is closed. Delays at the entrace station are possible if the parking lot fills (typically, mid-day on weekends). From November through March, the Hetch Hetchy Road may be subject to closures or chain requirements due to ice and snow.
