Stockton Creek Preserve is an easy-to-reach trail just outside downtown Mariposa — about a 3.3-mile moderate loop with a small lake, Stockton Creek, and a seasonal waterfall. Access it from Trabucco Street on the west side of town (park near the football field and walk past the gate), or from a dirt pull-out on Hwy 140 about 0.8 mile above Old Highway.
